Have I ever mentioned my favorite part of summer? I don’t think I have, because I don’t think I realized what it was until recently. Until I realized that it would soon be gone with the coming fall. My favorite part of summer is the stars. I love to go outside for a couple moments, search for the constellations, and wonder in awe at the thought that each star is the size of the sun, and it’s millions of light years away. When i look at the sky, it just looks like a big black sheet with holes poked in it. It’s like your staring at the ceiling of the world.
But, inspired by the stars, i got to work today, using watercolors, stencils, sharpies, and what better technique to make stars than salt?
