Is there such thing as too much editing? Personally, i don’t think so; i think there is an in-between area where it’s not subtle editing, but your not going all out either. In my opinion, this is the area you should avoid. For this project, i went all out.
I over-sharpened it, i boosted the contrast, i made everything black-and white except for the iris, i upped the saturation, and i put a blue filter over it. I was really just playing– usually when i edit a photo, i know exactly what im going to do with it, and this time, i had no clue, so i just did what i felt like worked. There were a couple of attempts i made before landing on this:
And, of course, the original un-edited photo:
I don’t know why i decided to turn the photo on it’s side; i think maybe the composition’s better that way, and it’s more interesting, because with the really edited ones, it takes you a second to realize it’s an eye.
Well, you know which one was my favorite…I’d like to hear your opinion!

could not quite decide btween 5 & 1. Like multiedits and seeing where the whole kit and caboodle leads
