Paper Dress

I’ve wanted to do this for a long time…i just didn’t quite know where to begin.  So i started with something simple: paper air planes.  As i folded them and fit the together, the ideas began flowing–i’d do an accordion fold, a geometric-crystal formation on the hip, a fan on the shoulder, a flared skirt…it just kept building itself.  In the end, it only lasted one wear, but all i needed were the pictures.

then, i had some fun editing with the geometric shapes :)

  1. You absolutely blew my mind with the photographs showing the underlying model actually wearing your paper party dress! And with that the series of photos and the fun facts about how much paper, only scissors and tape, plus your final edited picture, I was completely undone. This series brought me feelings of wonder and awe, along with a strong feeling that my funny-bone had been knocked, I think because your ingredients are so raw but your resultant product is so powerful, stylish and stunning. Thanks, I think you are brilliant!

    • Wow, thank you!! This makes my day :) While the amount of paper was sarcastic (I probably used…100?), it really was only paper, tape and scissors. It’s so fun to see the amazing things you can make with only three simple household items :) Your comment mean a lot! Thank you so much!
